My nan recently stayed at Winchester House following a stay in hospital. She had a lovely time, said she had a good choice at meal times, the staff were friendly and helpful, her room was beautiful and the home was well presentation throughout. It gave her the rest she needed before being able to come home. When we visited her, we were able to come down to a little cafe area to have a tea and a slice of cake. The administrator and reception staff were amazing from start the finish! We would recommend to anyone!

Visiting Barchester Winchester House was a truly memorable and uplifting experience. The facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained, creating a warm, comfortable, and welcoming environment. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring.
It was clear to see that the residents are looked after with great compassion and respect. They appeared relaxed, content, and happy, which is a testament to the high standard of care provided. There is a strong sense of teamwork and dedication among the staff, and everything seems to be organised efficiently and thoughtfully.
What stands out most is the homely atmosphere. Winchester House genuinely feels like a home away from home, where residents are valued, supported, and encouraged to enjoy a good quality of life.
The staff displayed exceptional kindness, professionalism, and dedication, not only towards the residents but also towards visitors. Their commitment to creating a positive and caring environment is evident in every aspect of the home.

Friendly staff, amazing food, nice training room

As a funeral director, I find the staff here amazing, so professional and helpful. They really do go the extra mile in respecting their clients whilst we perform our necessary duties.

"Last night my friend and I attended the quiz night at Winchester House. This is the first evening event I've attended and both my friend and I had a great time It was really well organised by 'J' & 'T' your members of staff who made everyone welcome and worked the room making everyone feel they were old friends. Obviously a lot of hard work had gone into the organisation of the event, the quirky questions to break the ice were great fun. Well done to your events team, lovely ladies an assett to your team."

"My cousin has been a resident for the last two months and he has settled in really well, his health and mobility have both improved, he has recovered his appetite and is enjoying the food, and very happy with the interaction with other residents and activities. He is even back to playing the piano after many months of not touching a keyboard. The staff are amazing they are all friendly and go out of their way to help, they all look happy to be working at Winchester house and that shines through when you come in the front door. It has been a difficult time for me personelly in finding a home for my cousin and managing his private business affairs to enable him to stay in the home, but the staff have been so helpful and caring its been a positive experiance for both myself and my cousin. I would not hesitate to reccomend the home to others."

"My aunt sadly died recently. She had lived at Winchester House for the last 4 years where she was cared for with such compassion and kindness. She made a few special connections with staff and we felt she was with a very safe pair of hands. The nursing staff were incredibly helpful in supporting the family during her last couple of months. She enjoyed her 80th birthday party at the care home where we created so many special memories. Thank you to all at Winchester House, particularly those staff on Cathedral Unit and also front desk receptionists."

I have been visiting my Aunt for the past few months and have always found the staff very warm and welcoming. The home itself is spotlessly clean and the cakes in the cafe area are delicious. I recommend Winchester House to everyone!

Both my husband and father were cared for at Winchester House Care Home in the nursing unit. The care they received was outstanding by exceptional people.

Very kind and compassionate care facility. The management and clinical teams work together very well. I have met the team at Marconi residence and they are excellent. Joan and Louise and the front line care team have provided such great care to our family member. Very professional and very caring.
