Activities at Wimbledon Beaumont Care Community

Our team of activities staff and volunteers are constantly striving to improve the lives of our residents. This includes the quality of our regular entertainers, the new PAT dog and cat visits, the new singing entertainment in residents bedrooms and the personalised visits by volunteers. We also encourage relatives and friends to join in with activities and trips out whenever they can.

As the festive season begins, the team at Wimbledon Beaumont would like to encourage you to join them to take part in our varied activities and regular trips out.

Frailty Awareness Event

We had a wonderful Frailty Awareness event led by Specialist Julie, and it was a great success! Our residents enjoyed joining in and learning more about frailty, how to help prevent it from worsening, and the simple things we can all do to support ourselves and others.

A big thank you to Julie for sharing her knowledge and to everyone who came along. It was a lovely afternoon of learning, conversation, and community.

A Dementia Afternoon Tea

A Dementia Afternoon Tea

Wimbledon Beaumont recently arranged a Dementia Tea Afternoon. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to sit together, share their experiences, and support one another in a warm and welcoming environment. We also provided dementia awareness materials for families to take home, helping them better understand how to cope with and support their loved ones living with dementia. The feedback we received was very positive.

Families shared that it was a valuable experience and that they learnt a lot about caring for and communicating with their loved ones who have dementia. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped me make the afternoon so meaningful.

A Wonderful Day of Horse Therapy

We were delighted to welcome some very special four-legged visitors from Wimbledon Stables to our care home for a wonderful afternoon of horse therapy.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the horses, gently feeding them carrots and creating some truly heart-warming moments. The smiles, laughter and connections made the experience especially memorable.

It wasn’t just our residents who enjoyed the visit — our staff had just as much fun meeting our beautiful guests!
