"My dad enjoyed several respite breaks in the Cedars, the staff were always professional treating him respectfully, showing humour when appropriate but most of all kindness. There was plenty of social activities available but my dad chose not to attend and preferred to spend time in his room, his choice was respected. The environment has very high standards of cleanliness and was always welcoming. My dad particularly enjoyed the food at the Cedars he said there was a plenty available and always a good choice. A big thanks to all the team for the care they gave him we will always be grateful."

I have the pleasure of visiting The Cedars regularly for networking events and, on every occasion, I am greeted by staff who are consistently warm, welcoming, and friendly.
During my visits, I often witness interactions between staff and residents. What stands out to me is the calm, patient, and compassionate manner in which the team communicate, often sharing light-hearted jokes and moments of laughter that clearly contribute to a positive and homely atmosphere.
I have also observed how attentive and considerate the staff are. For example, when someone arrives late to a group session, a member of staff will promptly bring them a chair and offer refreshments. This demonstrates not only excellent observational skills but also a natural instinct to care for the needs of others, including visitors as well as residents.
In my experience, the residents appear happy, active, and very well cared for. The family members I have spoken with during my visits consistently speak highly of The Cedars and the staff team, praising the quality of care and the welcoming environment that has been created.
I have also been impressed by the team's willingness to embrace products and solutions that enhance residents' wellbeing. A wonderful example of this is the companion pets that were kindly offered to the home by a family member. These have been enthusiastically welcomed by both staff and residents, and it is evident that everyone is benefiting from the social, sensory, and emotional enrichment they provide. The staff's genuine involvement and enjoyment of this initiative further reflects their commitment to creating meaningful and positive experiences for those in their care.
From everything I have observed, The Cedars is a caring, compassionate, and resident-focused home where both residents and their families can feel confident that people are treated with kindness, dignity, and genuine warmth. In addition, the home is consistently clean, tidy, and well organised, creating an environment that feels safe, welcoming, and comfortable for everyone who spends time there.

Such a welcoming, homely place. The team are always positive, engaging and are a credit to Barchester and the home. The Registered Manager leads a wonderful team of genuine, caring staff and it is a pleasure to meet there as part of Barchester’s commitment to local community support when they host monthly local networking events

As an ear care professional we at Bourne Ear Care attend The Cedars Care Home regularly to visit residents to provide an ear wax removal service. But we also attend a monthly networking group, Nexus there.

All members of staff are very welcoming from the minute you walk in, to the time you go out. Bex, the manager and her staff are all warm, friendly people and maintain the highest standards of care.

The residents all appear happy and there are always lots of fun activities going on, not just on site but out and about too.

‘The Cedars’ is a lovely building with stylish decor but it feels different to any other care home. It has a great feeling about it - a very warm and welcoming, homely environment.

We highly recommend ‘The Cedars’. If I needed to be in a care home this is the one I would choose.

"My mother moved into The Cedars in October 2025. Since day 1 all staff have been caring, professional and extremely helpful. Her room is clean spacious and welcoming with an ensuite bathroom. The food is of a good standard with a wide variety of nutritious meals. The activities during the days are wide and varied and all residents where possible are included. I would without hesitation recommend The Cedars to family and friends. Thank you 5 stars."

We had the pleasure of being invited to hold a Pop up event with our business Bourne Ear Care, to raise awareness to ear health.
We offered free ear health checks, discussed conditions and answered questions to residents, staff, family and friends.
Helen, Becky and their team are always very welcoming, whether we are there to visit a patient privately or to attend the networking group held there.
Residents and staff are always busy with activities and it’s great to see this interaction with everyone at the home.
Definitely a care home we have no hesitation in recommending.

Becky and the team at the Cedars provide a warm, loving and comfortable home for my Grandad. Family and friends love visiting and spending time in the home he truly loves being there. The last few years have been tough for us as a family but Becky and her team have been there every step of the way and we could not feel more supported in making the best decisions for him.

My Dad has been in Cedars for almost 3 years, the care is amazing & the activities are such fun, we both enjoy them! Many family & friends visit and have so many positive comments!! Home from home!!! Researched & visited all local homes, I choose this home for a number of different reasons, including care quality, friendliness, activities, leadership, cleanliness, smell, environment & understanding of my Dads needs! The outstanding element is that we are encouraged to treat the home in the same way we would as if Dad was still in his own home.

Visited a friend and was very impressed. The staff are friendly, approachable, and clearly committed to the residents’ wellbeing. They organise family days and activities, creating a welcoming and engaging environment. My friend seemed well cared for, with all needs attentively met. The home feels clean, safe, and comfortable, making it a reassuring place for both residents and their families. A caring, professional team that goes the extra mile.

"Our introduction to the home was during difficult circumstances. A father who had days to live and a mother who could no longer care for herself. The amount of work the home took on not only to ensure their new residents were safe and received all the care they needed, but the respect, clarity and help they extended to us as a family helped more than they could possibly know. After Dad passed away the help mum received and is still receiving is in my view utter perfection. The staff across all departments are so utterly normal and switched on. I'm wondering if they're grooming us as future residents!"

I attend Cedars Care Home frequently to see patients. The care shown by members of staff is always second to none. It is very welcoming walking in, always offer teas and coffees and all patients I have seen are very happy being there.

"The care provided by the staff was excellent at all times. However, for most of the time my husband stayed at The Cedars, he was not able to eat the meals provided because they were too bland. I ended up taking in Heiz Soups and roasted chicken to ensure that he does have something to eat. However, during December a new chef was appointed and the meals did improve dramatically."

"The Cedars is an outstanding home from home. The staff all value every aspect of my Fathers life, his interactions with his family and friends, making sure everyone feels welcomed and well catered for. The activities are enriching and engaging with a special team who think outside the box in the best interests of the residents, including celebrating birthdays, anniversaries & much more. The team focus on inclusion, well-being and support. Every team member wants to help every resident and visitor have a great experience from friendly smiles and hello's to sharing stories of the day. It is always incredible clean and tidy, the garden space is well kept (2 acres is a lot to take care of!) with lots of outside seating in sunny and shady spots. My Dad's room is very homely, as he wants it and being able to use a special family / visitor lounge for private meetings and functions is such a bonus along with 2 other lounges, restaurant area, so much space to enjoy. Dad loves it here!"
