Excellent surroundings

"I placed an urgent request on line in March 26 for a care home who had two places available for my elderly parents of 99 and 93. Within 10 minutes of the request, I received a call from Rothsay Grange. The team there were very understanding of the urgent request and arranged for me to visit them that afternoon. After the manager showed me around the home, they pulled out all the stops and my parents were moved into the home within 48 hours. All the staff across the home have been very accommodating and friendly, as a results my parents are now well cared for and settled. The home also pulled out all the stops for my fathers 100th birthday where all of his family from across the UK, had a very enjoyable and rewarding day. Thanks to the care home staff who decorated one of the lounges for my fathers birthday and provided a well appreciated lunch, drinks and a wonderful birthday cake. This was finished off with singing and dancing in the afternoon."

"Mum became a resident of Rothsay Grange in Jan 2026 after a lengthy hospital stay. She was understandably anxious, but by day two it was as though she'd always lived there. She settled in quickly, made friends almost immediately, and the staff have been so kind, caring and supportive. Mum often tells us how much she loves living here, and we have peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and well looked after. The home itself is beautiful. From the moment you walk into reception, it feels more like a five-star hotel than a care home. The lounge is a lovely place to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake with Mum, and she especially enjoys the hair salon onsite. Her room is modern, spacious and beautifully furnished, with plenty of storage. The dining room is impressive, and the food is exceptional. On her birthday, the staff sang Happy Birthday and surprised her with a cream cake, making Mum feel truly special. We honestly couldn't ask for a better place for Mum to call home."

"All the staff were friendly and caring and looked after Mum very well. The room was spacious and clean and we were able to visit and sit in the lovely garden. The choice of food was good and provided gluten free options. Would recommend and use again."

I've had the pleasure of getting to know the team through a local networking group and have since attended a number of events at the home in my role as a funeral celebrant. Every visit has been a positive experience.

The staff are always incredibly welcoming, friendly and professional, creating a warm atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The home itself is beautifully presented, with tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean communal areas.

I've attended networking breakfasts, an International Women's Day event and an excellent dementia awareness course, all of which were thoughtfully organised and genuinely valuable. What has particularly impressed me is the home's commitment to supporting the wider community. They regularly host activities, information sessions and wellbeing events, including chair yoga and support for carers, welcoming people even if they don't have a loved one living at the home.

It's clear there is a real focus on connection, compassion and community. A wonderful local care home that goes above and beyond, both for its residents and for the people around it. Should the need ever arise for a family member of my own, they'd be the first care home I'd reach out to.

The team at Rothsay Grange are incredibly warm and caring. It's great to see the effort they put into supporting residents, families and the local community. I'd recommend considering them if care is needed in Andover.

I attended a carers day afternoon tea and it was lovely and I felt very relaxed when it finished. I was able to bring a friend and she also enjoyed herself. The food was really lovely and the massage helped my tenseness in my shoulders.

All the staff were excellent. They made moving my husbands parents into the home as emergency respite care as easy as possible. We visited on the Monday & mum & dad were in there rooms and felt at home. They are 99 & 93 and not fans of change. The manager and all her staff, nurses, care, and housekeeping are always on hand if you need them.

My brother has stayed here on a few occasions now both for respite and once after surgery. The staff are amazing and he is always well looked after, safe and comfortable. We have no hesitation at all when it comes to Rothsay as it’s a perfect location and he’s now a regular. He’s always happy to be there, and reliably informs me that the food is delicious which for him is the very important part ! Big shout out to all the great staff there for making him welcome and the exceptional care. Back again soon !

"In January we had to air ambulance my Father from back to the UK. Rothsay Grange exceeded helpfulness in allowing admission in the early hours of the morning and made every effort to make him welcome and comfortable. In the three weeks he was there the staff all made great efforts to get to know my Father and cater for all his needs which were complex. In the time there my Father enjoyed many meals and was very happy. The environment is very welcoming and all the staff are friendly and kind. Sadly in his last week he was very ill and it became clear it was an end of life care situation. Everyone at the home was amazingly supportive and aided us in giving him a quiet and restful time with no pain. I could not have wished for a better place for him to be and it was lovey that I was able to be with him. The help and advice from the staff preparing me for making all the arrangements could not have been more helpful. Thank you to everyone"

I recently attended an event at Rothsay Grange and was most impressed with their facilities for residential care and their spaces that could be used for collaborative events. Most importantly, every member of staff we encountered was attentive, welcoming and caring and the atmosphere efficiently calm, despite a number of external things also going on alongside the daily routine the day we visited. Rothsay Grange had not been on my radar before, but it is definitely is now.
