"My dad moved into this care home in November 2025. He was given a life expectancy from the hospital of 6 weeks, but he has totally thrived being there, and that is down to the staff and how he is treated, which is amazing. They are great with him, if there is any issues they are on the phone keeping me updated. I can not fault anything about this care home or the staff, we made the right choice when placing him there."

"Well, what can we say, anyone looking for a care home for their loved one, should not look any further than Highview House Inverness Highview House Care Home - Barchester Healthcare ! We have known this for 3 years since mum June, first went in. However today, they put on a party for mum's 90th birthday. They made a poster with a "Grease movie" theme, the staff dressed up as Pink ladies, some staff came in on their day off to help mum celebrate, they got mum an outfit, provided a delicious buffet and even a birthday cake. What a fantastic day and mum had a ball. Honestly, we cannot thank each and everyone of you enough! When we leave the Care home, we know mum is in safe hands, loved and respected. My dad has been a resident within memory lane at Highview House for a couple of years now and every single visit to him, I’m blown away by the standard of care and compassion shown to the residents. The staff are all like extended family. Always supportive and they never stop!! Dad’s bed is always neatly made every day and his room & general areas are very clean and organised well. Three course meals every day and the choice of food is always freshly made…….you can eat with your loved one any time you like too which is lovely. Dad’s been very poorly recently and the care he’s received is second to none. The staff have tended to his every needs and kept him comfortable and pain free at all times and have kept us updated every day on his condition.
The staff are all absolutely priceless Sharon, Sofiane, Paul, Nora, Anya, Louise, Rachael, Kim & all of the others……. Every single one. Thank goodness Highview had a space for Dad when he needed it. I couldn’t imagine him receiving this level of care anywhere else.

We are very impressed with the car given to Mum, who has been resident there for almost three years. The staff are caring and caring ensuring Mum has respect and any symptoms are managed quickly and well. We are always made feel welcome when we visit and updated immediately in person or by phone call if any aspect of care changes. Thank you to all staff…I cannot pick out one above another, but the excellent leadership is obvious in the way staff work and communicate.

"What stood out for me, and my family, was the care and personal interaction given to each and every resident. From the person delivering the immaculately ironed laundry to top management. Hugs and humour, chat and care. A very welcoming happy home."

Outstanding care home. The staff are amazing, they look after mum so well and obviously care for her very much. Mum loves the staff and treats them as family. I don't want to single out one member of staff as they are all fantastic in Memory Lane. It is reassuring to know that mum is taken such good care of.

Can't fault Memory Lane. Everything works perfectly. Care is excellent.

"Our Dad had been a resident in Highview since September 2018. Sadly he passed away almost 3 weeks ago. The care and attention he received was excellent. If Dad or we had concerns about any aspect of his care we could approach the staff and these concerns would be dealt with. It wasn't very often that happened though. We were kept fully informed about Dad and how he was. He suffered from autonomic dysreflexia because of a spinal injury and a few times over the years we thought we might lose him but the staff did a fantastic job and got him(and us through it)! When Covid came we wondered how Dad would cope. We needn't have worried. The staff looked after him really well. We had regular phone calls and with help from staff we could also have video time with him. The kitchen staff were always helpful if Dad didn't fancy what was on the menu. The maintenance staff and housekeeping always took time for a chat. The Care staff were compassionate and patient. We thank them all."

"My mother in law has been in Highview for over a year now .i was very scared of her going into a nursing home home thought she would be just sitting in chair ,well i was very surprised how wrong i was .this place is absolutely amazing ,with amazing staff who really care for the residents.always something on music shows getting her hair done weekly . As I was her main carer at home along with her sons . I am so grateful to each and everyone in that home they give us peace of mind that she is well looked after and cared for .well done to each and every employee in Highview"

"I visited an old family friend who has been a resident there for a few years. I took my 95-year-old relative with me as I am considering care for him as he lives with us, 24-hour care is now a consideration. I was pleased to see our family friend so happy there. The staff were so friendly and kind, a really happy atmosphere, amongst all the staff and the residents. Her own room was lovely. I visited the salon - delightful, my uncle was so impressed with it as he used to be a hairdresser so I would imagine he would hang around there most of the day in one of the lovely chairs nearby. I went around all the lounges and dining room, it was beautiful and clean. The interior decorating furnishings and lighting of a very high standard. I am impressed that there is such good care in Highview, and also impressed by the activities/outings available to residents. I loved the little garden and refreshment area. Happy staff, happy residents, happy vibes came across 100%."

"Becoming responsible for a parent with advanced dementia is not easy and for many people, going into a nursing home is their greatest fear. For my mum, we were out of options and after a difficult nine months trying everything, including lovely respite care where she was beyond the facility's capabilities and suffered an additional brain injury, a four-month stay in hospital, she eventually came into the care of Memory Lane at Barchester Highview House Care Home. The most important aspect of care is finding the correct place and level of care for the person. For my mum, Memory Lane has been perfect. The unit feels calm yet full of life. Memory Lane is an example of what can be achieved and I dread any of the staff members leaving. No nursing home is perfect but whenever I have noticed something that I think my mum would prefer to be done differently, it is acted upon. My mum has blossomed since arriving here and although dementia has changed her, we have come to appreciate every day that she thrives in Memory Lane."

"My husband has just spent 2 weeks respite in Highview House Care Home. He was made to feel very welcome on arrival by all the very friendly members of staff, who had remembered him from a previous visit. He needs a lot of help in all aspects of his day-to-day care, and this was carried out for him with kindness and empathy. He was encouraged to participate in activities, which was reassuring to know, otherwise, his days could have been very long for him. He was very happy there."

"My mother entered into the care of Barchester Highview House Care Home in August 2020, suffering from vascular dementia and epilepsy. Since that time, Mum has thrived. She is happy and well cared for by the team of dedicated staff from all disciplines. Mum is always beautifully presented. It is obvious that attention has been paid to hygiene requirements, she is always nicely dressed, her hair is done each week and her nails are kept clean and manicured often with a coat of nail varnish applied by the enthusiastic and lovely activities team. They also provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, catering for all tastes and needs. The list of activities provided is enviable and friends and family are encouraged to join in. The catering staff provide a comprehensive and nourishing menu and also an array of irresistible treats. Residents and family are encouraged to proffer ideas and things that they would like to be added to the menu and also to the list of activities. I am always made welcome."

"My experience with the care home has always been great, me and my PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog love going in every week, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The activities team are great, they work very hard and well, they always make me feel comfortable and welcome, they all do a great job. Memory Lane care team work really well too, this is the department we do, we love it, the staff work so hard, the residents always look happy and they have a good range of activities to do. My husband is part of the activities team, he helps me which is good, he is great with the residents, he always makes them smile. It's a joy to work with such a hard-working team. Such a lovely and clean home. Very happy with my visits with my wee dog."
