We were unsure about our mother going into care home.
However, Brookfield and more importantly the staff, made the transition easy even for a 94 year old with a very warm welcome and a level of care that was genuine and engaging with the residents.
The food and facilities are very good, clean and modern, yet set in a splendid building with many period features retained.
Being a smaller facility, it was less daunting than others and far more of a real home and family environment than the larger establishments we looked at.
After 18 months, I can highly recommend Brookfield and the excellent team that genuinely care for the residents.

Best thing we have done for the care of our grandad. He is eating more and is in much brighter spirits since being here. The staff are absolutely amazing, very attentive and friendly with genuine care at the heart of what they do. The best care home I have seen.

The care provided to my mother in law Rita is exceptional. All the staff are patient with her, which is not always easy, and they take time to get to know all the residents and how to treat each of them as individuals.
Being a relatively small care home makes the interaction easier and it’s more like family. Certainly, many of the staff genuinely feel that the residents are part of their own family and treat them accordingly.
I really can’t praise them highly enough!

"Mum has been staying at Brookfield for respite over the last two years. Her memory is poor so she can't remember her previous visit but she always gets a warm welcome from staff when we arrive and she has made friends with a few of the ladies who live at Brookfield. She always says that she's enjoyed her stay when I come to collect her. She joins in with the activities and she loves the local trips out that they sometime have."

"Best care home in Warrington. I work in adult social care and regularly visit residential care homes Brookfields is by far the best. Management are amazing on the ball with medication, sorted eye appointments for mum doctors appointments basically made my life stress free. The home is beautiful and I call it a home as it feels like home all staff are so caring and kind always smiling laughing with the residents. The entertainment team brilliant. Everyone has made my mother feel so at ease and welcome. I genuinely feel like the staff are sent from above. I can come to see mum when ever I'm offered a cup of tea and cake. The home is kept beautifully clean. Mum wants to stay full time which is a relief for me as I know she is safe well looked after and she is happy. Please look on the social media page or go check the home you will come away thinking wow. Management Sarah and Jane fantastic they really do care and take the time to get to know not just mum but family too. I highly recommend."

"Since my Mum became a resident at Barchester Brookfield Care Home, we have nothing but praise for the staff and organisation there. My Mums general happiness has dramatically improved during her stay and despite her age and frailties, her physical wellbeing has also improved greatly. She is now happily thriving in the excellent social environment provided by Brookfield and is looks forward to joining in all the activities with the new friends she has made there. Her personal care is now well managed and she is eating good nutritionally balanced meals provided by a first class catering team. "My Mum stayed for just over a week for respite, it was her first time at the Barchester, Brookfield Care home, we were very happy with the caring staff and the care provided for our Mum during her stay. We hope to put mum there again in April for respite, it's a lovely home, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, it's close to my brother so he can visit whilst we are away, he and my sister in law were also very impressed with the staff and care home."

"Mum stayed at Brookfield Care Home from July for 4 months following a fire at home. The standards of cleanliness, décor, the rooms, shared spaces, hair salon and the menu are 1st class! (Yes, they have a three-course, breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, plus snacks in between) This care home is more like a 5-star hotel. But most importantly we were blown away by the level of care by the staff. A particular member of staff and her team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to help Mum settle. Here she has gained friendships with other residents and staff. She's been involved in exercise classes, watched concerts by local schools and taken part in activities. Even her mobility has improved whilst she's been here. The goal was always to get Mum back home again, but having the support of the mentioned staff member and her team has made Mum's situation so much more stress-free. We as a family can't thank Brookfield Care Home enough. They've been amazing!"

After my mum had a fire at home, we found ourselves needing to find somewhere for her to live whilst renovations were completed on her home. We found Brookfield Care Home by chance and within the space of a couple of hours, we had visited ourselves, gone back with mum, and had decided that this was the place for her, with no hesitation. Bearing in mind my mum had always said she would never go into a care home, this was a huge step for her and for us.
We were blown away by the level of cleanliness, the décor, the rooms, the shared spaces, the hair salon, the menu (Yes, they have a three course, breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, plus snacks in between) This care home is more like a 5 star hotel. But most importantly we were blown away by the level of care by the staff. Jane and her team made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make mum feel that she belonged here and that this was going to be home from home for her.
Mum was originally only meant to stay a couple of weeks but due to delays with insurers and contractors, this turned into 4 months and all the time mum was re-assured that she would always have a room here, as long as she needed it.
Prior to mum staying here, mum had lived alone and didn’t get out much due to mobility issues so the only people she would see were family and carers. Here she has gained friendships with other residents and staff. She’s been involved in exercise classes, watched concerts by local schools and taken part in activities. Even her mobility has improved whilst she’s been here.
The goal was always to get mum back home again, but having the support of Jane and the team has made mum’s situation so much more stress-free. I know mum has thoroughly enjoyed her time here and we as a family can’t thank Brookfield Care Home enough. Just knowing that mum was happy and settled was so reassuring.
Mum is now back home and settled in her new home but is already planning a weekly day trip back to Brookfield to have lunch with her friends and say hello to the team. And we will always have that reassurance of knowing that if mum should ever need care again, exactly where she’ll want to stay.

"From entering the home - welcome, offered a cup of tea, brought a chair to me to sit with the resident I was visiting. All staff engaged with me and residents in such a friendly manner. The home was spotless - beautiful surroundings, photos - very clean, friendly and 'homely' feeling. Where I have not given a rating is because I did not use any of these facilities/visit room etc."
